Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Brusha.

Basics

What is Brusha?
Brusha is a drawing app built around a real-time particle physics simulation (Android and iOS). Instead of flat strokes, every stroke spawns hundreds of physics-driven "bubble" particles that flow, collide, and settle on the canvas.
How does drawing work?
Drag your finger across the canvas to paint — each stroke spawns a burst of particles that flow and settle. Use Undo/Redo in the top bar, the Eraser to remove particles, the Hand tool to push placed particles around, and Freeze to pause the physics and draw on top of a static scene.
Can I change colors and background?
Yes — pick from the color swatches (a handful of solid colors are free; the rest, including Rainbow, are Premium). In Settings you can also set the background to a solid color, a Rainbow background that slowly cycles through colors (Premium), or a photo imported from your device.

Saving

How do I save what I've drawn?
Tap Save (screenshot) in the top bar to save the canvas as an image, or the record button to capture a video (5 sec free, up to 60 sec Premium). Saves go to your gallery on Android (Pictures/Brusha) and Photos on iOS.
Why is there a watermark on my saved image?
Free-tier screenshots and videos get a small Brusha watermark; Premium removes it. Live drawing on screen is never watermarked — only saved files.

Premium / Subscription

What does Premium unlock?
  • The full brush and background color selection, including Rainbow
  • All brush shapes (Pentagon, Heart, Snowflake)
  • Photo Pixelate
  • Video recording up to 60 seconds (vs. 5 seconds free)
  • No watermark on saved screenshots/videos
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by the store you subscribed through — Brusha has no separate cancel button:
  • Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Brusha → Cancel.
  • iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Brusha → Cancel Subscription.
Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Premium until the period you already paid for ends.
I reinstalled or switched devices — do I lose Premium?
No, as long as you're signed into the same Google/Apple account you subscribed with. The app re-checks your entitlement with the store on every launch and restores Premium automatically — no "restore purchases" step needed.

Troubleshooting

The app feels slow / laggy.
Lower the "Max bubbles" slider in Settings, or reduce Mass/Size on the brush menu — large particle counts are the main cost on lower-end devices.
I subscribed but the app still shows the free tier.
Make sure you're signed into the store account (Google/Apple ID) you purchased with, then relaunch the app — it re-verifies your entitlement on every launch.
